What sizes are available and what are your prices? Virtually any size is available up to 48" x 48" square and 32" x 96" panoramic single-sheet photographs. Cropping to fit specific dimensions is possible on many images. As each photograph is printed on an as-ordered basis, pricing is determined based on size, mounting options, and delivery. Please contact me for further information. What type of mounting do you recommend for your photographs? I prefer to mount the completed, custom photographic print onto lightweight black gatorboard and then apply a non-reflective laminate over the print for UV protection. A wooden back-frame both supports the mounted photo and "floats" the image off the wall. As a result, my mounted photographs have no matting, framing, or reflective glass and you see the entire photograph with no distractions. What about conventional framing? Selecting the best mat and frame to complement my photographs is very subjective for each and every client. For clients wishing a matted/framed photograph, I recommend they purchase the "print alone" option which allows them to later finish the artwork exactly as they want. Can you ship mounted photographs? Yes I can, but carriers' insurance requirements for protecting artwork sometimes require substantial packing procedures. This can be 35% or more of the cost of a mounted photograph. One option used by clients to avoid the additional cost is to purchase prints alone and mount the photographs themselves locally. Is my photograph signed? Because there is no mat on my mounted photographs, there isn't a "convenient" space for signature. Plus, I'm reluctant to sign the photograph's image surface as I don't want to detract from the image itself. However, mounted photgraphs are signed on the back and I can sign the back of prints alone too. |
